Turn 14, a performance parts distributor, has once again declared its sponsorship of Dai Yoshihara in the 2016 edition of the Formula D program. All the enthusiasts and followers of Formula DRIFT series and the famous Japanese driver know that Turn 14 Distribution has been backing Daijiro up for a long time in the drifting program. This partnership has been in place for four years now and they once again want to extend the period by sponsoring him together with his Subaru BRZ.
Daryl Sampson, the Director of Marketing for Turn 14 Distribution reported that the company is pleased to extend and continue their partnership with Dai. He also proved his confidence in the driver as a proven winner, a champion and one of the most popular drivers of the sport.
This year, just like in 2015, Yoshihara’s BRZ will have a livery branded by Turn 14.It will also have a custom-built LS engine- 7.8litre, turbocharged. It will also have rear-wheel horsepower of well over 950.
Yoshihara’s championship has been undoubtedly proven since 2004; he has, in nine races, finished in the top ten, this is inclusive of his 2011 championship run.
The Formula-D schedule of eight races, kicks off on April 8th and 9th in the streets of Long Beach-California. It will then and passes through North America, stopping in Georgia and then Florida. The next stops will be in New Jersey, Montreal and Washington. It will then make a final stop in Texas before proceeding to House of Drift- Iriwande Speedway; this will be in October.
